Friday Intention ~ Collaboration

by Katherine on March 5, 2010

This Sunday night is the annual Academy Awards show. I don’t have a television so I won’t be watching it. However Monday I will be watching with great interest for reports about which movie received the awards for Best Picture and Best Director.

I’ve seen Avatar, one of the movies nominated. In fact I’ve seen it twice. It is one of the best examples of creative collaboration that I’ve ever seen. The collaborative energy that went into bringing a vision into reality is astounding. If you’ve seen it you will know that the list of people in the credits at the end goes on forever. (And in my humble opinion, if it doesn’t receive the award, the awards are meaningless.)

No one ever creates alone. We have help from expected and unexpected sources. We meet people who know other people. We receive inspiration on a regular basis and each time we use that inspiration to move forward, we invite more inspiration to come. Creative collaboration happens in both the material world, and in the invisible world of divine intelligence that we all have access to.

So this week’s intention is to celebrate creative collaboration in all its forms.

With excitement and anticipation I open my mind and heart to all of my creative helpers, to inspiration flowing from all sources, and to all the gifts in creative collaboration.

Friday Intention ~ Shifting to Inner Security

by Katherine on January 22, 2010

Today I’m leaving for a week long cruise around the Mexican Riviera aboard the Sapphire Princess. I’m so excited because I’ve wanted to go on an Abraham-Hicks cruise for years.

As a result I’ve been thinking about safety and security when traveling in what are viewed by many as uncertain times. When we say goodbye, we say safe trip. On car trips we are advised to drive carefully. The traditional send off for journeys at sea is bon voyage. Such phrases certainly show our caring. They also demonstrate how much emphasis our culture places on safety and security.

The more I study and learn, the more I feel that the real source of security is inside me, in my connection to the Source of All That Is. So I plan on carrying my internal feeling of safety with me, along with my suitcase full of the usual travel items.

It doesn’t matter whether you are at home, on holiday, or driving to the corner grocery store, this intention is for you.

I know that no matter where I am, at home or abroad, when I tap into Divine Intelligence I am guided and protected at all times.

Creative Alignment

by Katherine on September 26, 2009

The Flash!

The Flash!

I go back less and less to my old concept of the word mind and look more and more to my new understanding of it as my alignment with the Creative Mind. My old concept was that mind was simply intellect, and I believed that operating through intellect and hiding from my emotions for many years kept me from my greatest creative gifts.

Now I see that opening myself to a different idea of Mind has allowed me to free myself from focusing through the left brain and using my whole brain and whole heart.

I’ve been exploring the idea of essence coming into form for a couple of years. I have an idea, I take the necessary steps and then I see the outward form representing my essence take shape in the physical world.

How my creative gifts are expressed through individual form is unique to me. Even the manifestation of an identical idea in someone else’s hands would be completely different from mine. This means no ideas can be stolen from us.

This week, I discovered that what I have been calling Bright Shiny Object Syndrome has been a negative self-judgment that has placed limits on myself and denied the fullest flow of ideas from the Creative Mind. I have placed my faith in the opinions of others who state that focusing on one thing and taking action is the way to a successful life.

Now my intention is to play, to love the diversity of moving back and forth between different ideas, to love the excitement of being able to immerse myself in many creative activities. I have faith that when I truly align with the Source of All That Is, I can play joyfully with many ideas, I have access to all money and resources that I need from Infinite Supply, and I have all the time in the world to create. By co-creating with the one Mind, I can bring any inspirations I choose into form and by doing so, express my divine essence through them.

Wow, that really rocks!

What do you want to create?

by Katherine on March 31, 2009

For those of us who do vision boards, there are probably pictures of new homes, cars, and partners…all things that exist in the material world. There are probably also pictures of ideas such as a business, a not-for-profit organization, or writing a book….things that become a legacy.

One of the best ways to manifest and create what we want is to help someone else get what we want. (No, that’s not a typo!)

If you want a new home, help someone who is homeless.

If you want more fans for your music, help someone else get connected to more fans.

If you want a new relationship, hang out with couples who have the kind of relationship you want, or introduce two friends to each other.

What’s key here is to serve with a spirit of joy. Giving to get hardly ever works.

Try it. It may seem like magic when what you want shows up but it’s not really magic. It’s simply using natural law.

“The universal Mind contains all knowledge. It is the potential ultimate of all things. To it, all things are possible.”

What is Creative Leadership?

by Katherine on March 27, 2009

My premise here is that everyone is a leader and that we move in and out of leadership roles throughout our life.

So what is a creative leader?

Someone who:
- invites people to a round table for the contribution of ideas.
- provides an encouraging atmosphere for the exchange of ideas.
- promotes the development of each individual’s strengths.
- asks dynamic questions which lead people to solutions.
- encourages and praises people who find dynamic solutions to problems.
- continues to ask questions if the solutions are not viable.
- is open and honest about not knowing all the answers.
- accepts no for an answer.
- is confident enough in own abilities to accept and encourage another person’s creative brilliance.
- encourages people by word and by example to own and appreciate their own strengths and contributions, and to extend the same appreciation to others.
- develops trust relationships.
- perceives multiple levels of archetypal or metaphorical meaning.

Some leaders are very well known and in the public spotlight.   Some work quietly behind the scenes and you’d never recognize them on the street.

So how do you know your in the presence of a creative leader?

Creating a joint venture partnership is one of the fastest growing and most enjoyable ways to expand your business. This tool is used by many solopreneurs to ease the path of business growth.

If you know in advance the best way for you to create these partnerships you can avoid any pitfalls you might encounter.

Here are some ideas to use as a starting point for creating your own specific guidelines.

paperdolls4 150x150 How to Know When Youre Co Creating With the Right Person

Is there good open communication flowing in both directions?

As partners do you share common values and goals in the venture?

Are you both clear on what you want to achieve through this joint venture?

Is this a win for both parties and for the market you will be attracting? Are you in alignment regarding how you will market this product or service?

Do you have a strategy in place to resolve any differences that may surface during the partnership? At any time, can you negotiate a course correction for your offering if it’s needed?

Are there certain things on both sides that are not negotiable?

Is there an exit strategy agreed upon at the beginning if either party wants out of the arrangement?

Do the partners have complementary knowledge, skill and ability so that if one person is weaker in one area, the other person is strong?

Is the venture using the creative skills of each partner, whatever those skills are?

Is this partnership in alignment with your mission and vision. Is it fun and juicy?

Do you feel heard? Are you really listening to what your partner is saying (or in fact, not saying)?

Through this project and partnership:
1. What are you being called to become?
2. What are you being called to release?

Joint ventures are models of co-creation at it’s best.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

jvclubbanner200x200 150x150 What’s the Most Profitable and Creative Marketing Strategy in the History of Business? It’s one of the most effective and under-used marketing strategies that I have ever come across!

Oprah does it, multi-million dollar companies like Pepsi, Universal Studios and so many more use it; it’s perfect for entrepreneurs – yet sadly most don’t even know about it or how to effectively implement it into their business.

What am I talking about?

Joint Venture Partnerships and Strategic Alliances! Check out what Mark Victor Hansen, Co-Founder of Chicken Soup for the Soul Book Series, has to say about it:

“I truly believe that joint Ventures are the wave of the future…. I think there are going to be more joint ventures in the future than there ever have been in the past.

“And we need them because a joint venture is sort of like a barter business — it doesn’t cost anything to get into it, if you’ve got the right partners you can do magic, because imagination will create the reality of the future.

“Right now the planet could not need more of us to make bigger and better promises than have ever been made. Because I’m an entrepreneur, everywhere I travel, I get to meet other entrepreneurs and they all want to work together. It’s an exciting time to be alive.”

My friend and highly sought after Marketing Expert Stefanie Hartman agrees, which is why she founded the exclusive Private JV Club to teach cooperative business tools instead of competitive weapons!

Stefanie wants to share her secrets with you, and let me tell you, what Stefanie has to say is nothing like any other marketing plan you’ve ever heard about!

I invite you today to join Stefanie on her upcoming free teleclass, “How to Joint Venture for Profits & Leads! The No-Cost, No-Risk Marketing Strategy” on Thursday, March 26th at 5:00PM PST/8:00PM EST to learn more about how you can start implementing this strategy in your business today.

If you like the idea of finding strategic partners for co-creation, visit the site to find out all the details and sign up for Stefanie’s teleclass on Mar 26.

It’s a win-win!
