Seven Stories
The Seven Stories CD: Music for Consciousness Rising
My world was shifting. I was facing a challenge I’d never faced before. From a place of profound change came Seven Stories: Songs and Stories in the Key of Life.
The Seven Stories High CD contains songs and stories about life and love, light and shadow, transformation and mystery, the hero’s journey and coming home.
I call this music Positive Conscious Music. But my definition of Positive Conscious Music may not be what you think. It’s not what a friend of mine calls “happy, happy, clappy, clappy”. For me writing the songs was my way of managing my experience.
The songs came from what was going on in my life and what I needed to learn. While I was writing the song it was always running through my mind. I would fall asleep singing it and wake up with it singing in my head. It was a learning program designed by my own mind to deal with the current situation and the learning would go on as long as it needed to, or until it was time for a new song to be born.
Part of a Bigger Picture
As I wrote more songs, I discovered my experience was part of a bigger picture. I along with many others was hearing the call to be part of creating a new form of music. This form of music mirrors the ideas, awareness and vision that we have been hearing from our brightest new thought leaders. It bridges ages, styles and musical genres. It’s heard on CDs, in the intimate setting of a house concert and on big stages at music festivals. Positive Conscious Music is about internal harmony, resonance and clarity. It marks the return of feminine energy for our planet.

‘Who do you think you are’ reminds us that although we experience shadow, we are light; that although we can feel sadness, we are joy; that although we can create storms in our lives, we are also the haven from the storm.
I stumble in the darkness but still go toward the light.
And I’ve seen a glimpse of hell, and still I’m heaven’s acolyte.
Who do I think I am to believe my flame could burn so high?
But if I’m a child of heaven, then how dare I not fly?

I might be able to run, but where can I run to that I’m not going to be there when I arrive? Sometimes the only way is to stand right where you are and deal!
Well you know that fog’s a funny thing, to get out you must go in.
So I owe it to myself to give reality a spin.
Illusions won’t protect me now. The time is finally here,
To walk into the fog and know that I won’t disappear.
In Between

Ever been in the VOID, an in between place where the old way is gone but the new way hasn’t yet formed? Seems like it’s totally dark. Yet in that place is the power of new possibility. In Between is that place.
In between here and forever,
We live a thousand lives.
In between we know the truth,
In between our souls have eyes.

In the symbolism of dreams, water in all its forms represents the subconscious. In The Sea Whisperer, she is listening to the words from the ocean depths of her subconscious as it tells her what she needs to hear. And as the sea reveals its secrets to her heart she whispers to the sea.
She walks alone along the moonlit shore,
The waves soft whisper speak her name.
She’s the only one who hears what they say
With their sweet refrain.

Doors open and doors close. Sometimes it’s hard to leave things behind but when the force that calls us is strong, we must go.
My heart beats out a new song,
I hear its call and I must go though I’m leaving everyone here.
I’m going, going, going, gone.

If you’ve ever asked yourself the question, “I’m just one person, what can I do?”, this song might just have the answer.
Like a snowflake in an avalanche, like a raindrop in a storm,
Like a grain of sand upon the ocean floor,
Well, I’m just a one. a single one, and what good can one do?
But with one and one and one, we can be so much more.

Something new is always coming into every life. After the rough ride is over, breathe in the inspiration, feel the elation and celebrate the transformation. It’s YOUR LIFE!
The winds of change are bringing something new,
And passion stirs you to live the dreams you’ve dreamed.
The world around takes on a brand new face,
And life is simply not the way it seemed.

I’m never going to know what lies ahead of me on the journey of life. But I’m going to know every mountain peak I’ve already touched on the mystic flight that never ends.
I’m flying away where the wind takes me,
Where I will go is a mystery,
On wings of the wind,
Ah Mystery!
